I love to sew for family, friends and home - it is my creative therapy. :) As I started sewing products, friends suggested I start selling my Hand Sewn Goodies. And so here is Sweet Cherries...

I sew Market/Tote Bags, Oil Cloth Bags, Cosmetic Bags, Kitchen Towels & Aprons, Home Decor… and special projects by request. There are also many great gift ideas on my blog!

Burlap Table Runner with Ruffle

This was a new project and request from a friend - and it turned out so pretty.  The burlap is 17 inches in width and runs the length of a table with a fabric ruffle at both ends.  Ruffle can be made to any length (this one is 9 inches).  This ruffle fabric is a pretty Sandi Henderson/Michael Miller line - love it!  Burlap cannot be washed (only spot cleaned), but I made the ruffle 2-sided so that you can flip it over for longer use.  Of course I had to try it out on my kitchen table for photos with my Willow House goodies...  Custom pricing.

New Toiletry Bag/Clutch

Here's a new Toiletry Bag/Clutch that I love.  This can be made in most cotton or vinyl-covered fabrics.  It has a 12 inch zipper across the top and is fully-lined.  Very fun new option - great for a gift!

Thank You for Holiday Orders!

Kids returned to school today and I finally found time to post...  Thanks to everyone that placed holiday orders!  I loved sewing gifts for friends and their family, so thank you.  Here a few pics from the holiday orders...  lots of great fabric combinations - new vinyl-covered fabrics and fun oil cloth (a few of my favorite things!)  Thanks again!

Goodie Jars

These are old-fashioned sewing jars (made out of canning jars), but I made some thinking they could be a really cute teacher gift filled with goodies or a gift card.  OR if you have a crafty friend, fill it with buttons or craft-supplies.  It is a pin cushion on top but they look adorable without pins too!  Can be made in a variety of sizes.  These goodie jars are $7.

Holiday Kitchen Towels

So I found a new vendor for wonderful flour sack and kitchen towels - the quality is excellent.  Decided to add a band of holiday fabric - as I'm getting into the holiday spirit!  These are a great hostess gift (tied in a bow with an ornament or your favorite kitchen soap) or for your own kitchen!  Holiday towels are $10 each.

New Favorite Bag - Spice Market Tote

I love new projects and this bag is so fun.  It's a Market Tote made of designer fabrics - with several layers of interfacing/stabilizer so it's so sturdy.  Includes 2 interior pockets, a bottom panel and a snap closure is an option.  It can be filled with goodies for a gift or taken with you to the market!  One of my favorites...  The Market Totes are $45.

iPad Cover/Case

My new favorite.... an iPad case!  So my husband buys an iPad "for me" and although I've probably used it the least among the 6 people in this house (including my 3 year old), I couldn't WAIT to make a case for it!  Total sewing geek...  Zipper at top, lined and padded - so cute.  Can be made in ANY fabric combinations.    iPad cases are $30.
